Photography and video for Umami Matcha in Houston: the ceremony, the drinks, the snacks and the space, made for the menu and the feed.

What wasn’t working
Matcha is all colour and motion: the whisk, the pour, the layers settling in the glass. Flat phone photos lose all of it, and one matcha bar’s feed starts to look like the next.
(03) — Our approach
What we did
We built the shoot around the pour. Drinks were shot as they were made, the layers still moving, with the ceremony tools, snacks and the counter around them. Drinks, process and the space each got a set of their own, and short video catches the pour in motion, so the feed always has its next post ready.
